A SUSTAINABLE HABITAT

We have been nurturing the local flora and fauna here at Ebony Haven for three generations! Although the ebony, mesquite, and pecan trees are popular, we do supplement with copious amount of birdseed. A local artisan has crafted these upcycled, reusable totes from our bags, and we are offering them for sale to fund continued maintenance and restoration of the property. Please contact us if you would like to purchase one for your groceries, picnics, books, or more!

THE PRESERVE DURING A PANDEMIC

Lyndon Baines Johnson once wrote: “The best fertilizer for a piece of land is the footprints of its owner.” Well, it’s been awhile since the family boots have hit the ground at Ebony Haven, but the place is flourishing thanks to the guests whose shoes are leaving their marks at the property once again. Please join them, and pay us a visit! Travel safely and relax in the serenity of our natural setting…

I'VE BEEN MEANING TO WRITE...

The world has changed, but life continues at Ebony Haven. We are visiting the property for the first time in 3 1/2 months, and trust that we will find the green jays wondering where their peanuts have been, and the bright yellow “glorias” that our caretaker has planted attracting butterflies and bees. It’s a wonderful place to isolate and recreate in these times - we’re re-opening soon!

Yours in stewardship,

The Works Family
